AWRI recognizes that there may often be science, processes and/or knowledge that could be piloted, tested, developed and commercialized in Alberta that will address specific Alberta water issues as well as driving economic development and opportunity.
To that end, AWRI is open to a wide range of strategic partnerships with industry and other like-minded organizations that will lead to the piloting and testing of novel and/or advanced processes and technologies that address key Alberta water issues.
It is anticipated that these initiatives will address critical issues in Alberta’s oil sands as well as in the development of next generation solutions for urban and rural water and wastewater treatment. It will allow Alberta to gain from world-class expertise as well as use our landscape as the effective test bed to develop solutions in Alberta that may have global impact.
