The Alberta Water Research Institute’s Strategic Research Program (SRP) involves projects generated through a targeted call for research proposals by the Institute.
While the scope and criteria for the call for proposals is tied directly to the outcomes of Water for Life, under this program, the Institute seeks out research projects that are innovative and world-class, and as a result may draw on multi-disciplinary experts from around the world, from the academic research community and/or from industry.
A key element of any research project supported through the SRP program is that any outcomes, and/or “learnings”, must be made publicly available and communicated in a clear and relevant manner.
