As a member of Alberta’s water community, the Alberta Water Research Institute (AWRI) – part of Alberta Innovates Energy and Environment Solutions – invites you to attend a special forum exploring ideas and opportunities on how financial market solutions could be used as a tool in managing water supplies.
The forum will include the release and presentation of four papers exploring various options and perspectives on financial market solutions to water management, along with the release of a paper from the Alberta Water Research Institute outlining how these mechanisms might be used in Alberta to help it sustain and manage the province’s water supply well into the future.
The program will also feature panel discussions involving some leading representatives from Alberta business, environment and municipalities on the concepts presented, and the opportunity for discussion by all participants.
